As it is finals week, students who have been procrastinating a bit are pushed onto their feet to start studying in order to do well in their classes. However we, students, shouldn’t forget the reason we’re in school in the first place. To learn.
Steve Jobs once said, “Simple can be harder than complex. You have to work hard to get your thinking clean to make it simple. But it’s worth it in the end because once you get there, you can move mountains.”
I believe this is an important thing to keep in mind because with our busy schedules we undermine the power of actually learning. Once we truly understand a concept, even if simple, we can really apply ourselves and accomplish great things. Even the things you never thought you’d end up using. Knowledge is power and it is very important that we don’t get carried away in simply memorizing information to pass courses and then move on and never think about them again.
It is not very easy to buckle down and study all the content to its full extent. The Academic Success Initiative is always here to offer help with your CS/IT and Math courses. We promote a culture of excellence in order for you to not just simply pass your courses, but also learn!
